TechBench is built for IT professionals, paid for by IT professionals. You're a learner, not a product. This page tells you exactly what we don't do — and what we do — with your data.
No Google Analytics. No PostHog. No Mixpanel. No fingerprinting. No behavioural profiling. No "anonymous" tracking that isn't really anonymous.
No banner ads. No sponsored lessons. No affiliate placements disguised as recommendations. No retargeting pixels. Subscription is the only revenue model.
We don't sell your data. We don't rent your data. We don't share your data with third parties for their own marketing. Not now. Not later. Not under any acquisition scenario.
No fake urgency. No hidden auto-renewal traps. No bait-and-switch pricing. No engagement metrics dictating what we build. The product is the curriculum, not your attention.
Open your browser's network tab. You won't find any of these:
Running a platform requires some infrastructure. Here's the complete list, no omissions:
We don't watch how you move through the site. We use the things you actively choose to give us — waitlist signups, lesson completions, subscription decisions, what you write in the Discord and on Reddit, and the feedback you send us directly. That's enough. Engagement metrics are not the only way to know if a product is working; they're just the cheap one.
This isn't a toggle you can turn on. It's how the platform is built and how it will stay built. If TechBench ever adds analytics — even privacy-respecting, cookieless ones — we'll tell you on this page first. If we ever take advertising, we'll shut down before we do it. If we're ever acquired, this commitment is in the acquisition terms or there is no acquisition.
You can hold us to this. The whole point of putting it in writing is so you can point at it later.
If you want to verify any of this independently — open the network tab, run a tracker scanner like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger, check the response headers — we encourage it. If you find something that contradicts this page, email us and we'll either fix it or correct the page.
